Recycling and Composting

  • Robust recycling program, we recycle 70% of our solid waste.
  • Recycling stations are provided for Alcatraz visitors on Alcatraz Landing, aboard all Alcatraz Cruises passenger vessels and on Alcatraz Island.
  • Hornblower Cruises and its affiliates keep a detailed Resource Tracking System for all waste, utilities and diesel consumption.
  • Recycling stations are provided to crew for:
    • Batteries
    • Cell phones
    • Inkjet cartridges
    • Oils and Solvents
